Young Investigator Award
The aim of the TYL-FJPPN Young Investigator Award is to highlight and promote the individual work of junior scientists active within the TYL-FJPPN French and Japanese teams.
The TYL-FJPPN Young Investigator Award will reward a PhD student or a postdoctoral researcher every year, based on the excellence of their contribution to one of the TYL-FJPPN supported collaborative projects.
Nominations should be sent to the TYL-FJPPN directors for evaluation before the next FJPPN annual workshop. The nominations should include a brief description of the work and of the particular contribution of the candidate (half page to one page long), a CV and letters of recommendation (ideally at least from both Japan and France).
The following criteria will be used in the evaluation:
- Importance and originality of specific contribution to the TYL-FJPPN supported collaborative project
- Level of recognition in both partner teams
- Scientific and/or technical excellence (e.g. in terms of papers, talks, other award,...) and any special consideration
As part of the award, selected candidates will be invited by the FJPPN to present their work during an Award Ceremony at the next FJPPN annual workshop.
